KLS Builders opened for business in the spring of 2018. This was finally the realization of our founder's dream to be a standalone entity that would provide its clients with a home, whose quality would not be compromised in the pursuit of profit. Since it was first established, the founder has demanded integrity, honesty and diligence out of not only himself but anyone that has been involved in the building process of any KLS Home. Having spent over a decade in the local construction industry, the founder was able to bring contractors, who have over the years proven to be reliable, on board to form our team. We partnered with suppliers of quality materials, which make a significant impact in the long run, to ensure only the best is used. Bringing it all together are our better business practices like time management, scheduling and resource conservation. With this combination we are able to build your quality KLS Home at and affordable cost, in a timely manner - the first time and every time.
We also understand that for everyone a dream custom home is not a large two story, brick and stone, home on a large country estate and we know that there are few available options for those who wish to build a small custom home. So we have not set minimum targets for our clientele and will not push to build your home bigger. Our Team
Founder and President
Konstantin Serdyuk
Our founder, Konstantin Serdyuk, immigrated to the United States at the age of four from the former Soviet Union. As with traditional Soviet families it wasn't a small family, a total of six children, which forced his father, the sole provider, to seek handyman work outside of his day carpentry job. In the beginning, Konstantin assisted his father in building cabinets. This is where he developed his sense of precision and minimal tolerance for imperfection. At the age of eight, Konstantin's father began bringing him along on handyman jobs, first as a translator then as a helper. This allowed him to learn all the maintenance aspects of home ownership and later as his father's projects became larger he began to learn to build. As a high school student, his summers were spent with a framing crew, then a concrete company and finally with a builder performing an extensively diverse series of jobs. Having started with a shovel, he was able to work up to becoming a superintendent on the company's biggest commercial projects. By the time Konstantin finally moved on to opening KLS Builders, he had intimate knowledge and experience in every aspect of residential and commercial construction having performed the work firsthand. And as a quality home builder, this is his greatest asset - having firsthand built every part and piece that make up your home allowing him to be a qualified judge of good and bad quality construction. When questioned on why his standards are so demanding, he simply states "I want to be able to sleep at night."
